How to Celebrate Earth Day

Earth Day is Saturday, 4/22! There are a ton of ways to celebrate nature this weekend.

How about with the Jacksonville Garden Club:

It was founded in 1922 by a group of 17 women who shared a passion for gardening. Now they can be found on Riverside Avenue which opened in 1948 and includes a library, ballroom and other meeting spaces.

Do you love gardening? You can join! Find out more at https://www.gardenclubjax.org/

How about at The Avenues Mall:

Saturday, there will be sessions for families on how to make Jacksonville greener. The first 100 shoppers to check in at the event can create their own terrarium and decorate a flowerpot for free!

How about at Walk for Water:

It’s a free 3.7 mile walk at the Southbank River Walk. Seems that is the average distance people in communities without clean water have to walk everyday to get water. It starts at 10am.
