We have a couple of months before the county fairs start up around Jacksonville, but in Wisconsin it’s not 100 degrees so they start theirs in August.
You might think what does that have to do with us? Well, the Wisconsin State Fair kind of sets the done for fair foods each season and their artery clogging menu has been announced!
Black Bean Burrito Balls – A mix of black beans, sweet corn, a plethora of cheese and spices combined into bite-sized spheres and breaded with a combination of spicy cheese curls and nacho cheese chips. Then, into the deep fryer they go. Served with zesty chile lime sauce.
The Bug Apple on a stick – Juicy white meat chicken baked inside a delicious Belgian waffle. Served on a stick, drizzled with ranch dressing and topped with real bacon.
Deep Fried Mashed Potatoes on a stick – Choose from cheddar bacon or garlic deep fried mashed potatoes on a stick.
Now I’m excited for Fall!!
