One of the best parts of the 4th is all the fireworks! But what happens to all of that trash and debris from them… a lot of times it’s just left out.
Last year, there was a Firework Beach Clean Up party and a group of almost 500 volunteers picked up over 4,000 pounds of trash! They’re kicking that off again this year! Wednesday, the day after the 4th of July (July 5th), the organization Keep Jacksonville Beautiful is hosting a beach clean up to get all of that 4th of July trash up!

If you can’t, just remember… leave only footprint while you’re out on the 4th! That’ll make the beach clean up easier for everyone!
